The exhibition Abstraction will present works contemporary artists specializing in abstract painting: Magdalena Karwowska, Ireneusz Kopacz, Búi Kristjánsson, Konrad Kwas, Marian Waldemar Kuczma, Sebastian Skoczylas and Walenty Wróblewski. Three of them are well-known artists, professors with successful artistic careers. The other three artists are young painters searching for new forms of expression. This project seeks to present the current, diverse trends and directions in the most recent reveal of nonrepresentational art and at the same time familiarize the audience with the great potential behind this form of imaging.
The exhibition has been curated by the owner of STALOWA Gallery, Krzysztof Fabijański; the word of introduction will be written by Krzysztof Lipka, PhD, art historian, musicologist, philosopher, professor emeritus of The Fryderyk Chopin Music University. From 1975 until 1999, he worked for Polish Radio 3, he was also the co-founder of Polish Radio Bis, a writer and a poet.
